Interfile
File format used by R to be most compatible with current camera file formats.
Version of keys currently used is 3.3.
Sinogram
Set of binned data representing one slice through
all the projections. Within this document, Sinogram is also used to refer to
the set of sinograms of related slices.
Lambda
Grid of pixels representing isotope concentration
throughout a slice of the body. Within this document, Lambda is also used to
refer to the set of lambdas of related slices.
Reconstruction
Lambda produced by reconstructing a sinogram.
EM (Expectation Maximisation)
Algorithm for reconstructing sinograms.
OSEM
A more general form of EM whereby subsets of the
sinogram are used in turn to reconstruct the image.
basename
Directory and name of a file without its
extension. e.g. File name is /fred/was/here.yes, the basename is /fred/was/here.
