R is designed to reconstruct projection/sinogram sets in Interfile format. It is a command line driven program compilable on many hardware platforms, running a variety of operating systems. Executables for Sun and WindowsNT systems are available. It is also known to work on DEC and SGI machines.

Section Installation deals with setting up your system for correct use of R and companion programs.

The section Program Summary describes briefly why you might use each of the programs in the OSEM package distribution.

The section Syntax details program usage. The parameters and the affects of all the options on the reconstruction.

Section File model.ikl describes the content of the Interfile key list file for R.

Section OSEM Style Files explains the format of OSEM subset information files. These are optional files used optionally when doing an OSEM reconstruction.

Section Weight Matrix Definition provides detail of assumptions made about the weight matrix and efficiency of use. It also estimates memory requirements.

Section Samples provides a quick view of inputs and outputs from the OSEM package.

Section Empirical Proofs provides hand waving, wishy washy proofs that various features do something like they claim.

Section Release Notes copy of file README in the source and executable distribution, which lists new features etc.

Section Support provides details of support options available to you.
